TV Ad Urges Support for Credit Card Competition Act

 

A new TV ad from MPC member NACS warns consumers that credit card swipe fees can amount to 3 percent of the purchase or more and urges them to tell Congress to support the Credit Card Competition Act.

“Since Visa and Mastercard dominate credit card transactions and set the big banks’ hidden fees, they can charge whatever they want,” the ad says. “Without competition, these unfair hidden fees really add up. Tell Congress to support the bipartisan Credit Card Competition Act. We need free market competition to have fair fees.”
